The annual 2026 Korean Game Awards ceremony will be held in Busan on November 18 to summarize the year of the Korean game industry. The event will cover 13 different nominations, including the main awards – Grand Prize, Best of Excellence, Excellence, Technology and Creativity, as well as Best Independent Project and People’s Favorite Awards.
The official application period for contestants is from September 28th to October 12th. The winner will be determined based on the jury’s comprehensive evaluation, the opinions of professional media and the results of the public’s online voting, which will take place from October 26 to November 16. The award is also traditionally associated with the Korea Creative Content Agency’s (KOCCA) annual games initiative, whose winners are automatically included in the nomination list.
