The updated version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the critically acclaimed open-world action role-playing game from Polish studio CD Projekt Red, has helped the game set new records upon release.

As of now, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has a peak online audience of 103,329 on the Steam digital store, which was achieved in January 2020 shortly after the release of the first season of Netflix’s The Witcher.
according to steam database“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered” (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered) attracted more than 120,300 simultaneous online players on Steam within 7 hours of its official release.
It’s worth noting that unlike most modern re-releases of games, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered isn’t being released as a standalone game, but rather as a free update for owners of the original version.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered releases on PC today, September 29th (steam, GOG, EGS, Battle.net), PS5, Xbox Series X, S and Nintendo Switch 2. The re-release also includes the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine story supplements.
The remaster offers improved graphics (lighting, visual effects, textures, models), combat system and skill tree, expanded photo mode, path tracing on PC, cross-platform mod support and other innovations.
Support for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt won’t end with the release of the remaster. The Songs of the Past plug-in will be released in 2027. It was created by Fool’s Theory, a studio founded by people from CDPR (the remake of the first Witcher).
