AMD called Server processor EPYC Venice 9006 price, official introduction happened July this year. In total, more than 30 chip models are available for order, in both SP7 and SP8 versions for single- and dual-socket systems.
In particular, the SP7 series includes nine EPYC Venice 9006 products, numbered from 64 to 256 computing cores, each core capable of processing two instruction streams. Level 3 cache sizes range from 384 MB to 1024 MB, and TDP ranges from 300 W to 600 W. The base clock frequency reaches 3.75 GHz according to the modification, and the frequency of Turbo mode is 5 GHz. Supports 16-channel RAM RDIMM DDR5-8000 and MRDIMM DDR5-12800, with bandwidths of up to 1024 GB/s and 1638 GB/s per slot respectively. Prices range from $8,008 to $14,904 in quantities of 1,000.

The SP8 series has 22 models. Their number of computing cores ranges from 8 to 128 (supporting multi-threading), and their L3 cache sizes range from 48 to 512 MB. TDP value is 130 to 400W. The base clock speed reaches 3.8GHz and the maximum frequency is 5GHz. The 8-channel DDR5 memory subsystem is capable of using RDIMM (512 GB/s) and MRDIMM (819.2 GB/s) modules. Prices for the chips range from US$700 to US$11,679 in quantities of 1,000.

AMD also clarified some technical characteristics of the processor. It was previously reported that the EPYC Venice 9006 first-generation solution can support “up to 128 lanes” of PCIe 6.0 in a single-slot configuration. Now there is news that this line number is only valid for SP8 products, while SP7 chips use 96 lines.
These processors are manufactured using 2nm technology. AMD emphasizes that these chips are suitable for both general-purpose workloads and AI-related workloads, including agent-based AI. Developers note that it has the industry’s highest performance per 1 W of power consumption and the best total cost of ownership (TCO).
