The comic Spider-Man: New Day has been in theaters for two months and is expected to make its digital premiere on October 6, but that’s not enough for Sony: Deadline reports that the company is already preparing a new version for the big screen.
The publication’s sources don’t know exactly when the film will return to theaters, but the already fairly long film (145 minutes) will include several new scenes, including that of Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple. Earlier, the actress complained that she was cut out during the editing process.
Spider-Man: New Day has become the highest-grossing film in North America and ranks third globally behind Avengers: Endgame, which grossed just under $400 million, and Avengers: Endgame, which also recently re-released with scenes from Doctor Doom, now poses a threat to Avatar, which grossed just $4 million.
