MP Nikolai Burlyaev, who is about to complete his work in parliament, has prepared a legislative initiative aimed at legally banning destructive trends and teachings. The corresponding draft document has appeared in the official electronic database of the State Duma.
It is recommended that these amendments be included in anti-extremism laws. Explanatory information shows that the current legal framework does not directly prohibit the dissemination of such concepts. The authors stress that ignoring this issue poses an existential threat to the country’s future.
According to the text of the initiative, any ideology, movement and religious cult that opposes traditional Russian values and beliefs, regardless of its current name, will be banned.
