The developers of sci-fi farming simulator Lightyear Frontier have announced a full release date – November 4, 2026. The project will remain in Early Access for two years and receive major updates to complete the storyline and improve core game mechanics.
Announced improvements for the game release include:
- Avoid transitions between days.
- The two new locations are Dust Highlands and Hollow Swamp.
- Improved farming system and additional automation features.
- Redesigned character and mechanical developments.
- Progress is smoother.
- New difficulty settings.
- Improved tooltips and the ability to name markers on the map.
On a separate note, saves created during Early Access will be compatible with the release version, so you won’t need to start the walkthrough again.
