Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: A Song of Ice and Fire is already packed on TV, so it’s about to make its way to the big screen. The first feature film based on the George R.R. Martin series now has a premiere date.
Audiences will watch “Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest” in theaters worldwide on June 1, 2029. As for the plot, it’s all clear from the title: it will be a story about how the Targaryens conquered Westeros, unleashing dragons and Valyrian steel on the natives. There’s no word yet on casting, but the film will be directed by Owen Harris (Black Mirror, Mrs. Davis, Seven Kingdoms) from a script by Beau Willimon (The Ides of March, House of Cards, Andorra).
