
The console war between Xbox and Playstation has been reignited with the arrival of Asha Sharma. Microsoft’s gaming chief returns exclusive games to Xbox Series X|S and the console is once again at the core of the Xbox gaming experience. A few weeks ago, Microsoft actually took over the development of Hideo Kojima’s PHYSINT game from Playstation, which also caused a lot of noise.
Meanwhile, Xbox continues to release games on Playstation 5, and Microsoft isn’t going to stop that, as Asha Sharma says in a new interview new york times. She believes that competition does not hinder cooperation.
Asha Sharma also clarified that cooperation with Sony will continue: “Competition and cooperation can coexist.”
In the same interview, the reporter asked Asha Sharma if she would apologize to Sony for the PHYSINT game situation. In response, the person in charge of Xbox responded that he was happy to cooperate with Kojima.
After hours of diplomatic negotiations with rivals, Sharma was momentarily at a loss when it came to a deal for Kojima’s upcoming game PHYSINT. She laughed at the thought of having to apologize to Sony, then shrugged and said she was glad Kojima decided to partner with Xbox.
Asha Sharma also commented on rumors of huge costs for PHYSINT. According to her, Xbox allocated less than “Usually spent on advanced game development”.
