NC Company announced the preliminary schedule for the 23rd anniversary event of MMORPG “Lineage 2” and revealed the concept of the new Gludin server. Its main features are simplified game systems, slower character development, and an emphasis on traditional MMORPG mechanics.
The author describes the server concept using three principles: Standard, Simple and Slow – basic, simple and slow. The developers said they hope to bring back the fun of Lineage 2 to players by making character development more meaningful.
One of the main elements is fighting monsters to obtain items and complete game content. The developers also intend to focus on transactions between players, through which items will retain market value and participate in the game economy. Therefore, the author hopes to maintain interest in acquiring equipment and character development.
In addition, the server plans to simplify complex game systems and add various activities to promote strong social bonds between players.
