As the end of the massive merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. approaches. It is understood that United Film Studios will change its name and its official name will be shortened to “Skydance”. As Topman David Ellison explains, the choice fell on the name of the production agency he himself founded in 2006. According to him, this will give the new corporate entity a unique identity, bringing iconic brands like Paramount and Warner Bros. into the spotlight for audiences.
All formalities to complete the high-profile deal are expected to be completed by October 6. David Ellison will run the massive structure alongside former Mattel head Inon Craze, which promises to bring about interesting strategic changes in the entertainment market. Let’s remember that the Skydance Media studio itself only merged with Paramount Worldwide in 2025, after which it was briefly known as Paramount Skydance.
