Anthropic has launched a wave of mass account bans on its artificial intelligence service Claude, hitting users from regions with official access to neural networks.
The sanctions target residents of Russia, China and other countries who try to circumvent restrictions by using VPNs and foreign payment details. The new security algorithm begins to heavily calculate workarounds and sends notifications about violations of platform rules.
At the same time, even the presence of expensive paid subscriptions cannot save the owners of blocked profiles. The official reason for the ban was the same “suspicious signal” and customers who lost access could only write a formal complaint.
