The anniversary iPhone X, released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Apple’s smartphones, has been relegated to the obsolete category by the manufacturer nearly nine years after its release. The 15-inch MacBook Pro released in 2018 is now considered obsolete.
Once a device is placed on Apple’s obsolete product list, it can no longer be repaired and repair shops can no longer obtain parts for it. The company typically retires products more than seven years after they have been discontinued. However, in reality, Mac computers can have their batteries replaced ten years after the end of the product line if the necessary spare parts are available.
The latest software update for iPhone X is iOS 16.7.16. With the release of macOS 15.7.7, software support for the 2018 15-inch MacBook Pro has also ended. A complete list of obsolete products can be found at: Apple website.
