The developers of Mewgenics, a tactical role-playing game about cat breeding, originally planned to add a Russian translation to the game by the end of June, but they missed the deadline and were late to deliver on their promise.

Russian localization Mewgenics become available Game owners as part of an open beta test. These tests are for those who want “Help spot translation errors and smell the cat’s name in your language”.
Currently, you can only change the Mewgenics language by selecting “beta” in the game settings on Steam. When the translation exits the test state, you can directly switch to localization. A release date has yet to be determined.
“They will come out of beta when we’re sure they’re fully ready for the light of day. Thank you for your patience – we know many of you have been anticipating translations for a long time.”the localization staff admitted.
In addition to Russian localization, the authors of Mewgenics have also opened up tests in Japanese, Korean and Chinese
Mewgenics users must collect and raise cats before sending them into turn-based battles. The game contains more than 10 categories, each with 75 abilities and 900 “Totally wild” Items, over 200 enemies and bosses.
Mewgenics on February 10th at steamwhich received over 48,000 “very positive” reviews (89% rating) and sold 1 million copies in a week. Paid DLC and console versions are in development.
