Studio Masangsoft has announced a reboot of the classic multiplayer third-person action shooter GunZ: Duel, originally released in 2003. The game can be downloaded for free on PC through the service steamAccording to the author, the available microtransactions do not affect gameplay.
The GunZ: Duel reboot pays special attention to balance, modern features, and the wishes of the community. One of the major changes is the complete abandonment of the pay-to-win element. Benefits related to character development and gear have been removed, with gear now having a purely cosmetic function. Weapons have been rebalanced based on weapon type and weight, making combat more dependent on player skill. The author has also updated the graphics, redesigned the interface, and added many modern features, including perspective adjustments, improved killstreak notifications, hit indicators, and more.
