Kintsugiyama Studios has announced the fourth phase of closed alpha testing for multiplayer first-person shooter California Legends. The next phase starts on September 17 (20:00 Moscow time) and lasts until September 21 (20:00 Moscow time), which is one day longer than the previous phase. Players who participated in previous Alpha tests will automatically have access to the new tests. Developers will select additional participants from users who register via steam.
List of major changes for Alpha 4:
- New location: Rattlesnake Junction.
- Many new clothing, furniture and tent decoration options.
- Reclaim the entire coastline (Big Sur, Monterey, and Mendocino).
- The emergence of the endgame system includes enemies from the “Elite Bloodline” invading and occupying strongholds at all levels.
- Improved quality of end-game items, as well as new rare and legendary items.
- The “Desperado Chest” and “Contraband Stash” events now not only trigger in PvP zones, but can also briefly turn any level 2 and above stronghold into an event zone (warning players in advance).
- New art and visuals for destroyed outposts.
- Enemies are located in abandoned mines and mines within strongholds.
- Improved material graphics and introduced terrain displacement technology.
- Improvements to the construction mode (the interface is still rough and will be further developed).
- Player and squad marker system (interface is also temporary).
- Brings many new challenges to players.
- Weather system updated.
- Improvements in resource extraction mechanics.
- Improvement of climbing ability, especially the ability to climb stairs.
“California Legend” plans to launch an early access version after beta testing, but the specific time has not yet been determined.
