MinaLima Studios brings audiences the visual style of the original Harry Potter film saga (including Letters from Hogwarts and the Marauder’s Map) with a new board game, Hogwarts Defenders. The project successfully completed a Kickstarter campaign, raising $1.7 million, and is now accepting late-stage pre-orders.
The new product is a strategy game in which participants can choose a side: defend one of the school’s four departments, or play as an opponent on the “dark path.” Players will explore the castle, brew potions, use cards to cast spells, and strengthen defenses. The basic version of the game costs about $80, the deluxe version costs $156, and the collector’s edition costs $378.
Additionally, the series is gearing up for a comeback, with an HBO series in development and the next major phase of the universe slated for a spring 2027 release.
