It’s unpleasant when your smartphone starts malfunctioning. And, apparently, it’s even worse when manufacturers promise to fix a problem but hesitate. Users of the pricey Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have been complaining about a red tint to their screens for weeks, and the Korean manufacturer seems ready to fix the problem.

The first device owners to report the issue thought it was a hardware issue, but Samsung assured it was a software bug and promised to fix it. Initially, the manufacturer asked smartphone owners to take their smartphones to a service center for screen calibration; then he hinted that the problem would be solved through a software update, but did not specify when it would be released.
Now, according to insiderSamsung support staff in South Korea say the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s red screen issue will be fixed in the smartphone’s next update – likely before the end of August. The update for the Korean market and the global update are released at different times, so it’s too early to make any statements. But it seems that the problem has almost been solved, and there is not much time left.
