Thermalright has launched the Assassin X 120-A Dark, an updated version of its Assassin X 120 V2 CPU cooler. The single-tower cooler retains the original’s slim design but features an all-black finish on the heatsink, top cover, base, and four 6mm copper heat pipes.

The updated model also features a new base. Now use a base that is in direct contact with the heat pipe instead of a nickel plated copper pad. The latter runs across the radiator in a square configuration, ensuring even heat distribution.
The radiator measures 120×46×151mm and comes with 1 120mm Thermalright TL-NT12-R9 V2 fan with PWM control, replacing the TC-C12C V2 fan of the older model.
The new fan uses S-FDB (Fluid Dynamic) bearings, has a maximum speed of 2400 rpm, provides an air volume of up to 85.35 CFM, and a static pressure of 2.95 mm water column. Art. Maximum noise level 33.3 dBA.
Assassin X 120-A Dark processor cooler supports Intel LGA 1851, 1700, 1200 and 115x sockets as well as AMD Socket AM5/AM4. Thermalright has not yet announced a price or start of sales date for the new product.
