Keely wishes Steam creators success and remembers their journey together: “No, this is not a trailer for Gamescom ONL.”.
Naturally, such phrasing had the opposite effect: users immediately saw a sly hint in the denial. In the comments, fans of the trademark joked about the “three lines of text”, “the three letters in the abbreviation ONL” and the constant supply of opium being used immediately in anticipation of the release of Half-Life 3.
Kiley himself might just be poking fun at the series’ long-standing meme status, but ahead of Cologne’s big show, players are ready to find the hidden meaning in any single word.
