As part of gamescom 2026’s opening night live broadcast, Capcom showed off a new trailer for action game Onimusha: Kendo and announced a major update to the game’s free demo.
Originally released in June, the trial version has received a batch of new content, which is expected to be released soon. Players who take on the role of legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi will discover an additional unexplored location, as well as the opportunity to fight new and dangerous opponents – Yves and Bry. In addition, for PC gamers, the developers remind you that you can use a separate free benchmark test to evaluate the performance of your system in advance.
The full version of Onimusha: Kendo will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 4, 2026. Have you tried the demo of the new Onimusha part? Are you looking forward to the return of Capcom’s samurai action game series?
