In June, Frozenbyte Studios announced the launch of the game “Trinity 6: Together in Time” and immediately announced September 17 as the release date. However, the project ended up being released much later – the developers announced a delay to 2027.
Trine 6: Together in Time is out now on Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5, Switch 2, Switch and PC, with a March 4, 2027 release date. According to the developers, they decided to delay the game for six months in response to feedback from players in the demo. Overall, the game received positive reviews, but players requested more variety:
We’ll be spending extra time adding entirely new ways to solve the game’s puzzles, giving our heroes more opportunities to shine. We will also improve the combat system, camera behavior, adaptation process and online multiplayer system.
As the author points out, each level will be modified as the project is finalized, and at the beginning, players will gain “additional ways to play”:
The team is reviewing each level from start to finish and developing 2 puzzle modes that players can choose from the game options. Now we call them Free Mode and Classic Mode. Freestyle Puzzle Mode improves upon the existing design, emphasizing flexible, creative solutions and allowing players to use their favorite heroes and abilities. Classic puzzle mode’s challenges are inspired by early Trine games and are built around specific hero abilities and the ability to switch characters in single-player mode or for more collaboration in co-op mode.
Players can also look forward to many other improvements from the developers Their website says.
