The market for Android-based portable gaming devices continues to grow: Ayaneo, Anbernic, Retroid and other manufacturers have launched their own models. Now Lenovo has joined their ranks, releasing its first portable Android game console in China, the Legion Cloud Gaming Handheld C700. This new product differs from the Legion Go series not only in its operating system, but also in its positioning: the main focus here is on live streaming games from PC.

To achieve this goal, C700 supports Lenovo Legion Stream proprietary technology. The kit includes a special adapter that lets you start broadcasting games from your PC directly to your console with just a click. According to Lenovo, this transfer does not require an Internet connection, so you can play games this way, such as when traveling if you have a suitable computer nearby.

The C700 itself is quite large. It has a width of 292.9 mm and a weight of 556 grams. For comparison, the Steam Deck OLED weighs about 640 grams. The console features a 7.82-inch LCD display with Full HD resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.

From the perspective of hardware characteristics, the Legion C700 belongs to the budget segment of Android game consoles. It is based on the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7400 and has active cooling. There are 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of expandable flash memory. A battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh is responsible for the autonomy. The combination of a relatively economical processor and a large battery should provide long runtimes, although Lenovo itself hasn’t provided exact battery life figures yet.

For control, there are two anti-drift TMR analog sticks, triggers with Hall sensors, a D-pad and two additional buttons on the rear panel. The host supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and is also equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Meanwhile, the wired interface is limited to USB 2.0 speeds, which seems unusual for a 2026 device.

The operating system is Android 16, which is still rare on portable gaming devices. In addition to streaming games from your PC, this hardware platform also allows you to run Android games and emulators directly on the console, although the performance of the Dimensity 7400 is noticeably inferior to the processors installed in more expensive models of the same type.

Lenovo’s Savior cloud gaming handheld computer C700 is now on sale in China. The version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory costs 2,199 yuan (approximately $327). The price of the new version with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB flash memory has not yet been announced. It’s unclear whether Lenovo plans to sell the C700 outside of China.
