The project was presented at the conference’s Aardman panel Pokémon XP in San Franciscowhere the puppets used for the shoot were showcased along with the first trailer. The show will follow the adventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu, who the team describes as a “knight” and “squire” who travel together.
One of the features of this product is story telling style. In fact, the episodes will be narrated entirely from the Pokémon’s perspective and will not include real dialogue: the creatures will only speak their names, while the rest of the narrative will be entrusted to the animations, expressions and movements of the puppets.
