The developers of the MMORPG Eclipse: Awakening have released a new issue of the developer diary, in which they talk about the monetization system. We discussed paid items, restrictions on their acquisition, and mechanics for summoning images of people and objects.
The first thing we need to admit is that the game does not sell gear or any accessories for real money. All equipment can be obtained directly in the game or purchased through auctions.
However, the premium store will contain paid items that may affect character strength and progression. In order not to overly widen the gap between players, some paid products will have weekly or monthly purchase quantity limits. The developers also promise to monitor player behavior and their feedback and adjust the system if necessary.
The main part of the paid mode will be the system for summoning characters and weapon images. In this case, tickets purchased with real money and tickets received during the game will have the same chance of receiving the reward.
Free tickets can be obtained through shelters, the in-game gold shop, in-game events, and achievements. According to the developer, using available game resources, players will be able to receive approximately 300 summoning coupons per month.
Conscription has a variety of mechanisms designed to reduce the impact of unsuccessful outcomes. The chance of obtaining hero-level rewards is set at about 1%, and the chance of obtaining legendary-level rewards is set at 0.05%. At the same time, the developers believe these numbers are relatively high for a Korean cross-platform MMORPG.

There is also a comprehensive guarantee and a guarantee for a certain number of calls. After summoning 800 times, players will definitely receive legendary rewards. For paid calls, up to five such bonuses are available per month under the guaranteed system.
After five guaranteed legendary rewards are earned, the counter resets at the beginning of the next month. If a player fails to reach guaranteed rewards, accumulated progress will not be reset and will continue counting the next month.

To demonstrate the random chance system, community manager Park Ga-young and executive producer Lee Sang-moon conducted 600 calls and divided them into two categories: character images and weapons. As a result, eight heroic level rewards and one legendary level reward were obtained. This result was higher than expected, but the authors stress that due to the probabilistic nature of the system, actual results may vary for each player.
We remind you that “Eclipse: The Awakening” is scheduled to be released in South Korea on September 10, 2026. Pre-registration can be done through the following website: Official website. An international release for the game has yet to be announced.
