A new Gemini feature debuts on Google Pixel 11 smartphones called Device help. Users can ask the AI assistant questions about their phone’s settings and set specific goals – in response, the assistant will point them out and even suggest multiple changes with one click. It turns out the feature isn’t just for the Pixel 11.

Recently a developer at Google publish Video of operating the device’s help features – In a demo, Gemini showed off features that make smartphone use more convenient at night, including switching to a dark theme and adjusting screen brightness. He emphasized that device help is available on any Pixel device running Android 17 and will appear on more devices in the future.
The developers didn’t specify which specific models we’re talking about, but apparently, this requires Android 17, and that’s not yet common. Reporters from Android Authority sources had mixed impressions of how device assistance worked: On two different Pixel 11 smartphones, the Gemini AI assistant gave two different answers. The new Google Android 17 is available on Pixel 6 and above. Devices from other manufacturers are already starting to be released, with the latest version of the platform pre-installed.
