The ability to convert Xbox discs to digital versions (called Disc to Digital) is being actively tested by players. Microsoft said in an official statement that it is already supported by projects released on more than 1,000 physical drives. But these are only disc games released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X; projects for Xbox 360 and the original Xbox are not supported.
Currently, Microsoft does not have a comprehensive list of all items supported from disc to digital. But players have begun making their own such lists.
If you’d like to find out if your Xbox game supports disc-to-digital conversion without installing the disc in the console, you can use a number of resources to do so:
- Fan website XCT.live. There is a game database on it, and viewers will notice which games support the Disc 2 Digital function and which do not. Just a few hours after the test began, more than 600 games have been confirmed to support the feature, and you can see some statistics below.

- reset era. On the forum, players also share information about projects supported by Disc to Digital. Hundreds of posts have been written and numerous projects confirmed.
Please note that many major publishers do not currently support disc-to-digital. For example, Ubisoft games cannot be converted to digital copies, nor can Square Enix games.
