No one will allow this to happen: Populists raise the issue of introducing esports courses in our schools again

At the Eastern Economic Forum, Dmitry Smith, chairman of the Russian Computer Sports Federation, announced plans to introduce esports courses into the country’s secondary schools.

The head of the organization stated that the initiative is based on the current recommendations of the Ministry of Education and federal education programs, which make it possible to include popular physical education subjects in the “physical education” subject.

We are not talking about ordinary video games, but specialized training designed to develop discipline, teamwork, reaction speed and decision-making skills under time pressure using various esports fields, from strategy to tactical simulators.

These measures aim to develop youth e-sports with high quality and help school children acquire useful skills in the digital age.
