Let’s remember that authoritative insider Nate the Hate (aka NateDrake) said in August that a certain third-party developer was working on a new game based on one of Microsoft’s relatively new franchises – we’re talking about Ori.
Moon Studios is responsible for Ori and the Blind Forest (2015) and Ori and the Will of the Wisps (2020), while Ori 3 is reportedly being entrusted to a Saber division. Series creator Thomas Mahler refutes rumors “Total nonsense”.

The Gamertag Radio host asked Willits about the veracity of rumors surrounding Saber Interactive’s involvement in potential Ori 3 development. Willits is familiar with the information circulating online and has flatly denied the news.
“No, sorry. But we are working on several other very interesting projects that we will announce soon.<...>We have a lot of cool things brewing”“, Willetts said in response to a question about Ori 3.

According to unconfirmed news, the new Ori may be unveiled at the yet-to-be-announced Microsoft Developer_Direct series of autumn game conferences. It is expected to be released in 2026.
Total sales of Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps Exceed 15 million copies. Since then, Moon Studios has moved on to the action-RPG No Rest for the Wicked, but according to Mahler, the collaboration with Microsoft continues.
