Ubisoft has officially announced a massive remake of the turn-based strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic 3, which is scheduled to be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2027.
This project is developed based on the Snowdrop engine, which transfers the classic isometric graphics of 1999 into a mature three-dimensional space, supporting 4K resolution, dynamic weather and seasonal changes.
Jean-Felix Monin, creative director of Ubisoft China Studio, emphasized that the team deliberately decided not to change the basic rules, balance and mechanics of the original work so as not to disappoint loyal fans.
The plan will also deliver a host of modern quality-of-life improvements, support for fan maps from day one, cinematic footage, and a new story prologue designed to smoothly introduce new players to the backstory of the world of Erathia. Well-known community members and tabletop adaptation authors participated in the creation of the game and served as consultants on the project.
