Square Enix ended September’s PlayStation State of Play event with a massive reveal of Final Fantasy VII: Revelations, the final chapter in the remake trilogy of the hit JRPG. The developers have officially revealed the exact release date – Final Story will launch simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on April 8, 2027.
The latest trailer is rather short, although it does show off some new features for the final installment of the trilogy, and a fully expanded demo of the combat system and detailed discussion of the mechanics will be held on September 5 as part of a special developer panel at the PAX West festival.
Are you looking forward to the finale of the remake trilogy? What are your thoughts on Square Enix’s decision to release the finale simultaneously on all major platforms, including PC, Switch 2, and Xbox, rather than as a timed exclusive on PlayStation?
