Sucker Punch Productions has announced a Most Wanted mode for third-person action game Soul of the Sucker Punch, which will be part of the full version. This is a single-player survival battle mode with Roguelike elements.
Before the game begins, the player selects a contract related to one of the members of the Yotei Six, after which he will fight waves of enemies and mini-bosses. For successfully completing each stage, you will receive power-ups from which you can assemble your own combinations for the next battle. Contracts can be replayed on higher difficulty levels. The most severe test will be the contract with Lord Saito.
There are four playable characters in this mode:
- Az uses dual katanas, blinding powder, and blinding bombs. Her ultimate skill “Wolf Call” summons two wolves, and her combo kill “Anrio’s Howl” scares away nearby enemies and forces one of the wolves to flee.
- Daeyuki fights Suokama, Kunai, and Tanegashima. Her Shadow Assassin skill releases smoke, allowing you to quickly deal with two enemies, and a killstreak summons Kyuubi’s allies.
- Nagato is equipped with a long gun, a short gun, a Yumi longbow and a Hankyu shortbow. His ultimate skill, Player Mark, automatically hits two enemies with headshots, and his killstreaks restore focus and earn explosive arrows.
- The fourth hero is Jin Sakai. The model from Ghost of Tsushima was transferred to him, retaining the recognizable appearance and adapting the characters from Ghost of Yotei Island. Jin uses all four stances from the previous game and gains sticky bombs and a short bow as additional weapons. His ultimate ability, Dance of Anger, can hit and disarm multiple enemies, and his killstreaks activate his ghostly form, terrifying nearby enemies and allowing him to instantly kill several of them.
Strengthening will be the basis for character development. During the run, players will choose between options related to weapon mastery, equipment, summoning, parrying, and survival. Coins earned in this mode can be spent on new technologies, weapon upgrades, amulets, and character unlocks. Cosmetic items earned in Most Wanted will also be available in the main game. They can be used in Atsu’s adventures and in the upcoming story expansion Echoes of Sekigahara.
The Most Wanted mode will be released on October 1st alongside the full version of Ghost of Yotsugi and the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion pack. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the full version for $14.99. The digital version of the complete version is priced at $69.99, and the physical version will be released on October 1.
All Ghosts of the Rams owners will receive the free update on the same day. It will add Yotei Beauty Mode for freely exploring the world in Photo Mode, new compositions for Watanabe Mode, the ability to save the appearance of one set of armor while using the properties of another, and a new High Contrast Mode.
