This week, Microsoft announced changes to Game Pass subscriptions related to Xbox cloud game access. The company announced that the Ultimate subscription level will be limited to 15 hours of service usage per month, the Premium level will be 10 hours, and the Essential will be 5 hours.

Active Game Pass subscribers have started receiving notifications from Xbox, with changes varying by region. They appear to be subject to local laws, which in some regions provide consumers with greater protection from unilateral changes to subscription rules.

If your existing account changes for any reason, you will be notified at least 60 days in advance and you will have the opportunity to cancel or change your plan at any time.

As part of your Xbox Game Pass subscription, we’re changing the way you play in the cloud. Starting in November, the subscription will provide a fixed number of hours of cloud gaming each month based on the plan you choose.
