Firaxis Games has announced the first major addition to Global Strategy – Sid Meier’s Civilization 7: Earthrise. The plugin focuses on two global areas: space exploration and deep interaction with the changing ecology of the Earth.
In the new expansion, players will lead their civilization through thousands of years: from studying ancient celestial bodies to launching massive missions to the solar system during the atomic age. Every successful space exploration will bring valuable resources and unique bonuses to the development of the Earth Empire.
Additionally, the addon will bring mechanics for adapting to harsh biomes (tundra, desert and tropics), terraforming tools and new ways to combat the effects of global warming. The add-on’s release will also add new content, new civilizations, and leaders to the game, with the developers promising to reveal details of these in the coming months.
