A critical vulnerability has been discovered in competitive shooter Counter-Strike 2 that allows players to manipulate defenses during matches. user FoundAttackers have learned to artificially imitate their own VAC blocking state.
Such a trick would immediately activate the VAC Live system’s security algorithms. As a result, the game incorrectly identifies threats, rendering the current match completely invalid and allowing unscrupulous players to avoid defeat on losing rounds.
As initially expected, the vulnerability itself has nothing to do with the blocked cheater actually logging into the protected server. However, the bug allows any dishonest participant to cancel the game at will.
