The Killzone shooter series, which has long been the flagship of the PlayStation genre, appears to be making a comeback. MP1st portal insiders report that Sony and studio Guerrilla Games have begun developing a new project in the universe that is in the early stages of production.
Sources revealed that an external team is involved in the development, which is expected to be Polish studio People Can Fly, which has signed a deal with PlayStation to jointly develop a game based on existing intellectual property rights.
The project could be a massive remake of the original 2004 game, or it could be a complete rethink of the series. The studio’s schedule depends on the fate of the project Horizon Hunters Gatheringafter which part of the guerrilla team will turn to resurrect the shooter.
