Kakao Games has unveiled the official corporate identity and first key artwork for its upcoming PC MMORPG ArcheAge S: Free Straits. The game is being developed by XLGAMES studio under the direction of producer Kim Kyung-tae, who previously worked on the original game.
The new logo retains the style of the cult series and is complemented by nautical graphics and the symbol of the compass letter S. Key art, rendered in a retro style, depicts five key figures and a squadron of ships, hinting at the massive transition from the usual land battles to full-fledged naval combat.
The project is scheduled to be released on Steam in the second quarter of 2027. At the same time, the developers will release a special preview video in September this year, where they will personally talk about the concept of the game and demonstrate actual gameplay.
