In an interview with Wccftech portal at Gamescom 2026, Kim Namjoon of NCSoft, the producer of ambitious MMORPG Aion 2, shared key technical details about the PC version and plans to release the game on consoles. The game was created on Unreal Engine 5 and is billed as one of the most technologically advanced multiplayer projects in the coming years.

The team confirmed that they are already actively working on the implementation of DLSS 5 neural filters with NVIDIA engineers. Full support for neural network pipelines will appear in the PC version, either before global launch or in one of the first major updates.
In addition to PC, NCSoft is also preparing a full version of Aion 2 for current generation consoles. Development of the console client is already underway, but an exact release date will be announced at a later date – the studio hopes to polish the PC version first.
