Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV’s online match setting and battle between Orks and Necrons in the new movie

In a new gameplay video for the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV strategy game, the developers at KING Art not only showed off the battle between the two factions, but also showed off footage of a multiplayer match being set up. As it turns out, players will have plenty of opportunities to change the rules of combat. Nearly thirty points affect the economy, the combat characteristics of units, and the game itself.

The match pits Orcs, led by creative director Jan Theisen, against Necrons, led by QA department lead Orvi Tumel, who is considered one of the best players on the entire development team.

The start of the game showcases the characteristics of each faction: the Orcs begin to expand rapidly to seize resources and build fortifications, while the Necrons seek to expand their energy matrix network and prevent their enemies from seizing resources at will.

With the spread of the energy matrix and the continued pressure of the endless army, the Necron quickly moved to the center of the map. The Orks attempted flanking maneuvers to destroy enemy structures in order to weaken their economy and military. In the end, however, the immortal “Conqueror of the Stars and Enslaver of the Gods” succeeded in thwarting all attempts at harassment and launched a final stand in which the Orcs had no chance.
