Localization studio GamesVoice has released the first official development diary working on creating an unofficial Russian dub for the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Freedom add-on. The team successfully raised the funds needed to implement this large-scale project.
In the new video, the author demonstrates the recording process and shares the first examples of Russian voices in Night City. Studio representatives pointed out that the workload was huge: approximately 28,000 lines of voice work were required for the add-on, which is very different from full-fledged large-scale games such as Hogwarts Legacy.
A full demonstration of the game’s episode dubbing is planned for October as part of the online festival Voice conferencingHowever, the developer has yet to announce an exact release date for the dub itself.
