Halloween: The IllFonic Studios game officially launches on September 8th, with pre-orderers able to get the game a few days earlier. This isn’t the first asynchronous multiplayer project based on the team’s famous horror series. The developers used many ideas from Friday the 13th: The Game and their other projects in the new game, but that didn’t stop them from getting good sales, albeit not the highest ratings.
The creators of “Halloween: The Game” say the game has sold more than 1 million copies within 5 days of its official release. At the same time, the project’s score on Opencritic is only 64 points (out of 100 points), and the reviews on Steam are “mixed”. It had major technical issues on all platforms, but on Xbox Series X | some have been corrected.

Unlike the Friday the 13th games, in Project Halloween the developers not only offer a multiplayer mode, but also a campaign mode. Many reviewers noted that the story portion was an enjoyable addition to the main gameplay, but took no more than 2-3 hours to complete, making it not worth buying the game just for the sake of it.
