Blizzard has released a massive review revealing all the details about the long-awaited World of Warcraft: Forever project, which is set to launch on November 4, 2026.
The author emphasizes that this is not a temporary season or mode, but a mature and timeless game based on original Azeroth, created based on community feedback and classic game principles – no level scaling system and flying mounts, emphasizing social interaction and the value of every step towards the highest level.
The project will provide players with a wealth of new content, including from level 1 to level 60:
- New Areas and Quests: Over 1,000 new quests, including restoring Mount Hyjal, exploring the secrets of Shendralara between Morgo and the Badlands, adventures on the Riverwood border, and the new race’s Zephyrath starting area.
- Sky Elf Races: New characters will be able to join the Horde (get the shaman) or the Alliance (get the mage) and play as warriors, hunters, bandits, and druids with unique looks.
- Dungeons, Raids, and PvP: Nine new dungeons (from the Lord’s Hall of Irongrod to the Flooded City), Abyssal Rift (10 players) and Hyjal Peak (20 players) raids, as well as the new Senep Islands battlefield (15v15).
- Systems and Facilities: Camp System (camping) for shared entertainment and enhancements, replacement for the game’s legacy progression, optional transmogrifications, a choice between HD models and classic models with old animations, and official game controller support.
The roadmap for year one looks very busy, which shows that Blizzard is serious about supporting World of Warcraft: Forever.

This fall, players can look forward to a closed beta (starting on September 17th) and a full global release on November 5th, after which the developers plan to maintain a high pace of content updates without long pauses.
Especially attractive is the winter patch on December 9th, which will not only bring 10- and 20-person raids and the classic Onyxia lair, but also launch the long-awaited hardcore mode, which can bring new emotions to fans of harsh survival. Spring and Summer 2027 will build on this success with regular additions of new dungeons, zones, PvP activities, and redesigns of older content.
