Half Grip will give you the opportunity to participate in brutal racing competitions. Players must not only outrun but destroy their opponents, who are armed to the teeth.
The main feature of Half Grip is its controls. The game doesn’t have a traditional keyboard scheme, but is controlled by a mouse – you have to use one hand to drive, shift, shoot and reload.
“Start your engines and experience the chaos of this adrenaline-packed roguelike combat racing game that forces you to switch between driving, shooting, shifting gears, and more—all with one hand.”the author warns.
By earning money, users will be able to unlock many upgrades and weapons (rams, shotguns, magnets, mines) that will help them stay ahead of their opponents. The roguelike structure will ensure that each game is unique.
Users in the comments were impressed by the concept and implementation of Half Grip, appreciated the quality of the soundtrack, and expressed a desire to join the game and see the project in VR soon.
Half Grip is expected to be released on PC in 2026 (steam). They promise a future that will combine realistic and arcade controls, car personalization, atmospheric tracks, hard pixel art, multiplayer, and public displays.
