The game Active Matter has been released on all platforms including Xbox. The project’s advantage within the Microsoft ecosystem is the Play Anywhere feature. It allows you to purchase the shooter once and use it, just like on the Xbox Series X console | S and PC.
Meanwhile, the first tests have emerged showing off how Active Matter works on Xbox Series X | S. There’s only one graphics mode for each console:
- Xbox Series X. Actual resolution is approximately 1080p, scaling to 4K at 60 FPS. In the main gameplay of the game, the huge drop in FPS is not noticeable. But when switching to stock, FPS often drops to 40-45, as shown in testing.
- Xbox Series S. The game runs at true 900p resolution, with the resolution upscaled to 1440p. The game has 60 FPS, but has dropped to 50-55 FPS levels.
Active Matter is a sci-fi third-person PvPvE shooter. The main features of the game are the changes in the surrounding world and the utilization of opportunities related to space and time. The base version of the game costs $29.99 and received mixed reviews on Steam when it was released.
