There are only two weeks left until the early access release of Aion 2. Today, at 16:00 on September 16th, Moscow time, the launch scale test client preload for the global version of MMORPG was launched.
The first game will start on September 17th. The test will be live on Steam and PURPLE and open to everyone, no keys, invitations or pre-registration required. Players will be able to evaluate the global client, combat system, performance and connection quality in advance without having to wait for release.

- Preload: From 16:00 on September 16th;
- Section 1: September 17, 16:00–22:00;
- Second game: September 18th 22:00 – September 19th 04:00.
Steam users will need a separate AION 2 Playtest app. The full official schedule has been released by the developers on Steam.
What can be used during testing
Players will be tested for a total of 12 hours – 6 hours per test. The maximum character level during testing is 37.
Progress from the first session will be saved to the second session, however, all characters and data will be deleted once the test is complete. Progress will not transfer to Early Access or Release versions.
In-game purchases, the marketplace, player-to-player transactions, Founder’s Pack items, and wardrobe will also be disabled during the test.
After completing the test, Steam users need to uninstall the AION 2 Playtest client and download the main client separately before the start of early access on September 30. In Purple, you don’t need to redownload the client.
What happens after the test
Early access for Founder’s Pack owners will begin on September 30th, and official shareware for AION 2 will be released on October 5th.
The developer also recently updated the Founder’s Packs: each pack now includes a 30-day subscription to the game.
How to Prepare for Launch Scale Testing
Since each game session only lasts six hours, it’s a good idea to download the client in advance and check connection stability before starting. For players in Russia and other CIS countries, the routing quality of foreign servers can directly affect latency, packet loss and connection stability.
