The “Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons” action game will completely abandon traditional quest markers and annoying screen cursors. General manager Dominique Ghiem told IGN that the team decided to stop players from blindly following key points and give them back a sense of exploration and true freedom of movement in an open world.
Instead of the usual quest system, the developers at Invoke Studios are using a mystery mechanic inspired by tabletop D&D sessions. Players will be able to learn rumors from local residents, collect evidence, and look for clues. It is completely by chance. Different investigation entry points will directly affect the development of events and the direction of clearance.
