Rebel Wolves studio has shared interesting details about the creation of its successful action RPG Blood of the Dawn Treader, which sold over a million copies in its first week. A report from Bloomberg revealed that the vampire novelty game is being developed with the financial backing of NetEase, which has allocated a modest $40 million budget to the project by industry standards.
The project was launched in 2022 under the leadership of Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who assembled a small team of enthusiasts to create the prototype. With publishing support from Bandai Namco, the developer later grew to 160 people, allowing the game to be released in September without a complete rework and strictly following the original concept.
