Playground Games studio, best known for a series of hit racing games forza horizonis preparing to release the long-awaited revival of the iconic role-playing game Fable on February 23, 2027.
In an interview with The Guardian, studio co-founder and game director Ralph Fulton admitted that the team took over the project from Xbox with great enthusiasm and saw it as an opportunity to prove their expertise in an entirely new genre.
Despite the change in direction, the developers are still leveraging their extensive experience in creating large-scale open worlds forza horizonallowing them to confidently transfer their developments into classic fantasy settings. According to management, once Microsoft proposed developing the cult series, all other ideas faded into the background and the team focused entirely on creating an exciting virtual world.
