Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still alive and wellAlthough it has been a long time since the project was last shown to the public.
this has been confirmed Rick GodwinUbisoft Bordeaux’s deputy narrative director, he claimed on BlueSky that he has been involved in development for several months as a support and consultant. Godwin noted that he had received permission to speak publicly about the matter, a detail that at least proves the work is continuing.
There is still hope
“It’s a little unusual, but I’ve been working on Beyond Good & Evil 2 in a support/advisory role for the past few months,” Godwin said on BlueSky. “I can say that I have been informed.”
Unfortunately, Godwin didn’t add anything else, but at least his message suggests that the project is still active and that work is progressing in some way. Among other things, this confirmation comes at a time when the title is once again at the center of some indiscretions.
In August, insider Nash Weedle reported that Beyond Good & Evil 2 might feature significant revisions from the previously released version, so much so that the game’s title might also be changed. Weedle also claims The latest version will be ready for public displayalthough there is no official confirmation yet. Insiders also speculate that it may arrive switch 2thanks to an “extremely scalable engine.” Regardless, these are unconfirmed rumors.

The only thing that’s certain is that despite the 18 years that have passed since the official announcement in 2008, development is still progressing. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to receive more substantial updates from Ubisoft.
