A few days ago, Xbox Insiders discovered a reference to Mythic achievements in the console’s firmware. They haven’t been officially announced yet, but players expect such achievements to be the equivalent of “Platinum” on the Playstation, which is rewarded for completing the game with 100% Gamerscore.
An update to the Xbox PC app reveals new details about Xbox Mythic achievements. The achievement symbol itself can be found in the file – as shown below. It’s designed in much the same style as the Xbox Gamerscore profile icon.
In addition to the symbol of the mythical achievement, the sound of the expected opening has also been leaked. You can hear it in the short video below.
Asha Sharma previously confirmed that Xbox plans to add a Platinum edition equivalent to the Playstation, but that has yet to be announced. The Mythic achievements are expected to be available in the coming weeks, ahead of the release of Gears of War: E-Day, which is set to launch on October 6.
