For large and high-profile game releases, collector’s editions are almost always created for the truly dedicated fans and those who like to “touch” at least a physical entity in an industry that has long since become fully digital. Of course, Grand Theft Auto 6 won’t depart from this approach, but instead, it will elevate it to something resembling absolute.
So, today Rockstar Games officially propose Grand Theft Auto VI Collector’s Edition, known as the Goodtime State Vice City Collection. Residents of Western countries (who are the only ones eligible for this offer) can purchase this “collectible” for $400, and in exchange they will receive a full box of assorted “merch” (items related to the game).
The developer will offer a themed key ring, a set of enamel pins, a set of stickers, a poster, a themed wine glass and bar spoon, a magnetic mirror, a baseball cap, a bag, glasses, and finally, a Macca crocodile statue.
You may have noticed that the Collector’s Edition’s content list doesn’t include the hero of the occasion – Grand Theft Auto VI itself. It may seem like its presence in the Collector’s Box is self-evident, but that’s not the case: there won’t be an official copy of the game inside. Of course, in this case, it’s an open question why such a collector’s edition would be required to cost what is truly an astronomical amount of money for a product of this type.
